If you live in Rosegrove, you already know Tara. For over two decades, our little takeaway at 13 Rosegrove Lane has been feeding families across Burnley with authentic Indian and Bangladeshi food — and we're not going anywhere.

A Rosegrove Fixture Since Day One

Tara Takeaway has been part of Rosegrove Lane for more than 20 years. In that time, we've watched kids who came in with their parents grow up and start ordering for their own families. That's what being a neighbourhood takeaway means — you become part of people's routines, their Friday nights, their celebrations.

We're not a chain. We're not on Just Eat. We're a family-run Indian and Bangladeshi takeaway that's built on word of mouth, repeat customers and food that speaks for itself.

Tara Takeaway is at 13 Rosegrove Lane, Burnley BB12 6HX — right in the heart of Rosegrove, an easy walk or short drive from Padiham, Hapton, Gannow, Ightenhill and Habergham. We're open Tuesday to Sunday, 5:00PM to 9:30PM (closed Mondays).

What We're Known For

Over 20 years, certain dishes have become Tara signatures — the ones people drive across Burnley to collect:

• Chicken Tikka Massala (£11.00) — our creamy, mild Massala sauce is the most-ordered dish on the menu
• Sylheti Murghi Massala (£8.50) — a home-style Bangladeshi dish with chicken tikka strips in a thick keema sauce
• Baza Roshun (from £8.00) — for garlic lovers, with roasted garlic, onions and plum tomatoes
• Naga Mirch (from £8.00) — a very hot Bangladeshi chilli dish with a flavour you won't find anywhere else in Burnley
• Tandoori Mixed Grill (£15.00) — a generous platter straight from the tandoor
