What Makes Tandoori Different?

A tandoor oven reaches temperatures of up to 500°C — far hotter than a regular oven or grill. At those temperatures, the outside of the meat sears almost instantly, locking in moisture and creating that distinctive smoky char. The marinade — typically yoghurt, spices and lemon — caramelises on the surface, giving tandoori its signature red-orange colour and deep, complex flavour.

Tandoori Chicken Half — £11.00

Half a chicken, marinated overnight in spices and yoghurt, then cooked on the bone in the tandoor. The bone-in cooking keeps the meat incredibly moist. A proper tandoori chicken is one of the most satisfying things you can order from an Indian takeaway.

Chicken Tikka — £11.00

Boneless chicken pieces marinated and grilled. Our most versatile dish — it works on its own with rice, in a kebab sandwich, or you can upgrade to a creamy Chicken Tikka Massala.

Lamb Tikka — £11.00

Tender lamb pieces, same treatment as the chicken tikka but with a richer, deeper flavour. Lamb and tandoor were made for each other.

Tandoori Lamb Chops — £12.00

Four marinated lamb chops, chargrilled until the fat renders and the edges crisp. These are a favourite with our regulars — proper restaurant-quality food from a takeaway. The kind of dish you'd pay twice the price for in a sit-down restaurant.

Chicken or Lamb Tikka Shashlick — £15.00

Tikka pieces threaded on skewers with peppers, onions and tomatoes, then grilled in the tandoor. The vegetables char and sweeten alongside the meat. A healthier option too — no heavy sauce, just grilled goodness.
